These terms apply when you visit hausofhighlands.com, buy from our store or visit our ranch. "We," "us" and "Haus of Highlands" mean our family ranch in Moorpark, California. By using our site or booking a visit, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to make a purchase or booking. A parent or guardian must book for minors and is responsible for them during any visit.

2. Products and availability

We try to show our products, animals and experiences accurately. Colors and details may look different on your screen. Handmade and farm items vary from batch to batch. We may limit quantities, discontinue items or change availability at any time.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include tax or shipping unless stated. Prices may change without notice, but you pay the price shown when you order. We must receive payment before an order or booking is confirmed.

4. Orders and bookings

An order or booking is confirmed only when you receive our confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order for any reason, including pricing errors or suspected fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund it.

5. Ranch visits and experiences

  • Every guest, including children 3 and older, counts toward your group size. Children under 3 are free.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty.
  • Follow our staff's instructions and posted rules at all times. Children must be supervised by an adult.
  • Outside dogs and other pets are not allowed on the property.
  • We may end a visit without a refund if a guest is unsafe or unkind to our animals or staff.

6. Live animals and assumption of risk

Our cattle, horses, donkey, goats, sheep, pig and chickens are living animals. They can move suddenly, kick, push, nip or step on feet, even when calm and well cared for. Ranch ground can be uneven, muddy or slippery. By visiting, you accept these risks for yourself and any minors in your group. Animal interactions depend on each animal's comfort that day and are never guaranteed.

7. Miniature cattle and embryo sales

Animal and embryo sales are governed by these terms plus any invoice, bill of sale or written agreement for that sale. We do not guarantee an animal's size, color, temperament, sex or breeding outcome unless it is stated in writing.

8. Refunds, cancellations and rescheduling

9. Photos and media

We often take photos and videos at the ranch for our website and social media. Guests may appear in them. If you do not want to appear, tell us before or during your visit and we will do our best to leave you out. You may take photos for personal use during your visit.

10. Intellectual property

Our name, logo, photos, text and designs belong to Haus of Highlands. Please do not copy or use them without our written permission.

11. Reviews and content you share

If you send us a review, photo or tag us on social media, you allow us to share it on our site and social channels.

12. Relationship with Shopify

Our store runs on Shopify. Purchases are made directly with Haus of Highlands, and Shopify is not responsible for any sale between you and us.

13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Our site, products and experiences are provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, Haus of Highlands is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product or experience involved.

14. Indemnification

You agree to cover any losses or claims caused by your breaking these terms or the law, or by the actions of guests in your group.

15. Things outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by weather, natural disasters, illness, animal health or other events beyond our control.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Please contact us first to resolve any concern. Any dispute that can't be resolved goes to the courts of Ventura County, California.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time by posting the new version here. Continuing to use our site or services means you accept the update.
